About the OneTrust Hands-On Lab

The OneTrust Hands-On Lab (HOL) is a place where OneTrust customers, partners, and prospects can get hands-on, guided experience in a completely isolated environment. The labs span across all four trust clouds, cover a number of common topics or scenarios and have no interdependencies (take any lab at any time). OneTrust welcomes your feedback; look for the link to provide feedback in the Welcome message when you log in!

Access to the OneTrust Hands-On Lab requires valid myOneTrust log-in credentials.

Self-Registering for a myOneTrust Account

Effective immediately, new users wishing to use the OneTrust HOL must register and use a myOneTrust account for access.

1. In your web browser, browse to Self-Register for a MyOneTrust Account
2. Enter your First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and Company Name. Click Sign Up.
3. The myOneTrust system will set up your account and send you an email.

NOTE: For the quickest self-registration experience, register with an email address that matches the URL of your company or an email address that is an existing OneTrust tenant user.

If you do not receive the automated email from myOneTrust confirming your account, contact OneTrust support or your OneTrust account executive.

Taking a OneTrust Hands-On Lab

Follow this section to login to myOneTrust and begin taking a Hands-on Labs

Access and Log-In to the Hands-On Lab

1. Navigate to the OneTrust instance of VMware Lab Platform

In your browser, navigate to https://labs-onetrust-com.ezproxy.utas.edu.au

2. Click Log In

Click Log In in the top-right corner.

3. Choose the myOneTrust Login Provider

Click MYONETRUST from the Sign In with options

4. Enter your myOneTrust Account

Enter your myOneTrust username and password, then click LOG IN.

NOTE: If your organization requires you to single sign-on to myOneTrust from your OneTrust environment, see these steps.

Don't Have a myOneTrust Login?

If you do not have a MyOneTrust login, you can Self-Register for a MyOneTrust Account. For the quickest self-registration experience, register with an email address that matches the URL of your company or an email address that is an existing OneTrust tenant user.

Selecting and Starting a Hands-On Lab

1. Select a Lab

1. Click the Labs tab to view available labs.
2. Click on the Catalogs filter to limit your search to specific topics.
3. Find the lab you are looking for in the list of labs and click on the "ENROLL" or "ENROLL AGAIN" button.

2. Start The Lab

Click the START THIS LAB button

3. Lab Startup

The lab may take a minute or two to launch. You can read the beginning of the manual by scrolling through the pages using either the navigation arrows or clicking on the page numbers at the top.

4. IMPORTANT: Wait for the OneTrust Environment to be Created

IMPORTANT: The temporary OneTrust environment is deployed when you start the lab and may take a few minutes before it is ready for use. You will receive two popups:

1. Your OneTrust Tenant is Being Prepared! This confirms your tenant is in queue to be created and will be available in a few minutes.
2. Your OneTrust Tenant is Ready! This confirms you can now login to the OneTrust tenant using the information listed in the popup. These instructions will also be available in your lab manual and can be safely closed without writing the information down.

5. Taking the Lab

Once the Tenant Status is green and says CREATED, follow the steps outlined in the manual.

1. Click on the blue arrows in the lab manual window to change pages or click on the page number links at the top.
2. Please read every step in the lab manual and follow it exactly as it is documented. Just a reminder, when signing into the OneTrust environment for every lab, your password is OneTrust1!

Ending A Hands-On Lab

1. Ending A Lab

At the top of the page, click on the FINISH LAB button, then click End to end the lab.

CAUTION

Ending a lab is permanent! It will delete all lab data you have configured and is irreversible!

2. Lab End Confirmation

Click on the CONFIRM button.

3. Return To The Home Page

Click on the BACK TO COURSE CATALOG button

Single Sign-on to myOneTrust through OneTrust

Your organization may be configured to require single sign-on to myOneTrust by first logging in to your OneTrust environment. If your organization has this requirement, follow the below steps to login for Hands-on Labs access:

1. Login to your OneTrust Environment

Login to your OneTrust environment.
In the top-right corner, click on the Help button, then click on Visit myOneTrust.

2. Confirm Single Sign-on to myOneTrust

Confirm that your name is displayed in the top-right corner, indicating that you were successfully signed in to myOneTrust.

3. Access Hands-on Labs

Complete the steps under Taking a OneTrust Hands-on Lab. You will not need to re-enter to myOneTrust credentials or single-sign on again.

When your myOneTrust login session expires and you wish to take another lab, be sure to login to myOneTrust through your OneTrust environment again.
